Operational Training
Derco Aerospace offers a full-spectrum of aircraft maintenance training. Focusing on the principles of aviation technology and the practical skills required for competent performance of operation. Derco-trained students are familiar with the aircraft characteristics, subsystems, component locations, and the knowledge to sustain mission readiness. Derco instructors administer performance tests designed to measure the ability of the trainee to perform certain tasks, or recall certain information.
Simulation Based Training
Derco offers Simulation Based training aid solutions that greatly enhance the learning process by providing real-time dynamic feedback to otherwise static theoretical subject matter. They empower instructors and students by providing them with interactive multimedia replicas of mechanisms, processes, and systems that support practical usage, troubleshooting, and “what if” scenarios. Derco is the authorized distributor for Simgraph's C-130 Simulation-based Training Aid (SBTA) computer software. Designed to train C-130 pilots and flight engineers, the C-130 SBTA suite is an off-the-shelf product that is comprehensive, yet simple to use. The C-130 SBTA suite provides students a free-play training environment that covers every major aircraft system on the C-130. Simgraph ’s software accurately reproduces the normal and abnormal operation of aircraft systems, sub-systems, or processes. Students learn to identify and troubleshoot common and uncommon system errors using 'what if' scenarios. Simgraph's SBTA solutions enhance the learning process.
Maintenance Training Derco offers a full-spectrum of C-130 aircrew training. Focusing on the principles of aviation technology and the practical skills required for competent performance of operation. Derco-trained students are familiar with the aircraft characteristics, subsystems, component locations, and the knowledge to sustain mission readiness. Derco instructors administer performance tests designed to measure the ability of the trainee to perform certain tasks, or recall certain information.
For aircraft operations and support, Derco realizes it is critical for management to ensure that qualified people, proper processes, and the appropriate tools are in place. Derco understands the importance of having well-educated, adequately-trained personnel to perform flight critical work. Initial and re-occurring training are very important to meet this requirement. For aircrew and maintenance staff, Derco offers a complete line of training services from self-help training modules, traditional classroom training, and on-site full time technical representation.
Derco offers Computer-based Training Solutions that are customized to a particular operator's aircraft, and operation/maintenance practices are available so that valuable time is not lost learning systems that are not applicable. The option of Flight Simulator training can also be an element added to an aircrew training program along with actual on-board aircraft training for both ground and flight instruction. Derco can also provide instructors that can “train the trainers” and assist in course development and training material preparation.
Traditional Classroom Derco has a long history of providing both C-130 general training and C-130 system specific classroom training. The trainer uses well defined materials based on the operator ’s current technical publications and aircraft configuration. The material is delivered to students in a classroom setting and is designed to be interactive between student and instructor so that the students achieve maximum benefit during the learning experience from the instructor’s background experiences and knowledge.
