April 2010: REDISCOVER Derco Repair Services
Through relationships with premier OEMs and OEM-Authorized Repair Centers,
Derco Repair Services provides cost effective and efficient means to manage component overhauls.

Derco’s rotable pool program fulfills customers' urgent needs while their components are in a repair cycle, or provides storage for repaired units, which are automatically issued to a customer once a component is turned in for repair.
Program advantages

• Uniform repair and overhaul service quality through careful
  in-house and vendor surveillance

• Reduced component maintenance costs through
  requirement pooling

• Reduced cost of ownership through excess rotable reduction
as a benefit of guaranteed Just in Time (JIT)

• Availability of No Fee Exchange Units in many cases to
guarantee AOG service options ensuring mission capability

• Combined in-house and managed repair competencies
into a turn-key rotable management program

• Single interface for rotable management reduces operator
  vendor base and transaction costs

Derco tailors its logistics solutions to each customer’s unique requirements. Each solution is created with agreed upon performance metrics, which may be related to an incentive structure. These solutions are based on the premise that aircraft operators must shift toward "best commercial practices."

Derco offers test stand design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities including universal hydraulic stands, pneumatic test equipment, ATS pneumatic stand and avionics test equipment. In addition, Derco provides infrastructure development such as prop shops, brake test stands, elevator booster fixtures, equipment and test facilities, and electrical mechanical universal test stand.

Derco’s engineering services focus on new capability development, piece part repairs, obsolescence management support and technical support. New capability development entails reviewing the applicable technical data to understand the test and tooling requirements for each new unit, then designing equipment to meet those needs. Derco’s engineering team maintains shop test equipment and tooling, researches solutions, develops a bill of material for new capability units and implements various EH&S requirements including machine guarding.
